I recently spent some time reviewing Arcane Legends for consideration of listing on this site. While it didn't quite make the cut, it' still a fun game.
Arcane Legends a 2D overhead view hack and slash PBBG. It's a well made game but the repetition disqualified it for inclusion on this site. I found the game to be a bit of a level-mill. As you progress to different zones you find yourself repeating the same quests and killing mobs that get increasingly more difficult on maps that look suspiciously like the previous maps. All maps are essentially roads or caves with limited travel options. For gamers like me that like to explore, this game is a bust.
Arcane Legends does include PvP and a very simplified crafting system that can be explained in one sentence: Collect 10 of item x, craft all 10 into a single gem then plug the gem into your weapon.
Despite my criticism, I found myself returning to my test account to play the game when I had an extra 15 minutes. The game is quite fun on a very casual level. If the developers opened up the map for exploring I'd probably include it on my list of top recommended PBBG's but as it stands now, Arcane Legends is basically a dungeon crawler with the goal being to level up and collect pets.
