At first glance, Dead Frontier appears to be a classic flash shooter. But upon closer examination, it becomes apparent that Dead Frontier is in fact a PBBG.
I predict that in the in the near future we will see an emergence of flash games with rpg mods designed to convert the games into PBBG's. In essence, any arcade style game has the potential to become a pbbg but how enjoyable the game might be is still very much dependent upon the game content. As always, eye candy will get players in the door, content will keep them in the house.
I'm slightly conflicted with this game. On the one hand, I see some potentially great features such as the choice of single player, team player, or multi-massive RPG mode yet still be able to develop character stats, this could be a real boost to lure in more players.
On the other hand, I'm very disturbed by some of the policies. I think this game has much potential, even now, while still in beta, it has the potential to be top ranked on this site. Hopefully their official policies will evolve along with the game. Time will tell.
