All of my content has been stolen
A few years back I purchased the domain pbbglab.com to host my content you see here. This was in fact the second domain purchase for this site. However, due to an extremely tight budget, I had to let the domain expire. I wasn't too concerned about it because 1) I still have my content hosted here and 2) the PBBG community is quite small.
Shortly after discovering my domain purchase, I had an offer from FoohonPie to purchase it. FoohonPie has or had several PBBG websites and a PBBG discord channel as well. I declined and let him know that my site was in fact the FIRST website dedicated to PBBG's (although there were other sites dedicated to browser based games, mine filled a niche).
Shortly after losing my domain, someone purchased it. This was not a surprise. However, what was a surprise is that not only did they buy the domain, but they decided to scrape all of my content for it as well, but a slightly older version. This gave the appearance that my domain was still active and under control by me. An available domain is fair game, content owned by others is not. I have been accumulating and updating my content for 15 years at the time of this writing and I don't mind expressing how shitty it is that some asshole would steal all of my content in one move. But that is the world we live in today, worthless people now fill the planet with their presence in what is now a waste of space.
At this time I have little proof, but I believe there is a good chance that it was FoohonPie that stole my content. He has bought several PBBG related domains and wanted mine. Checking out the whois for his known domains, I noticed that his host just happens to match the same host for the pbbglab domain that contains my stolen content.
This has never been an enterprise for me but a hobby alone so I take it personally that anyone would steal my content.
