There are several promising looking new/somewhat new PBBG's out there including some that have been posted here. I mentioned elsewhere that I've been very busy recently, in fact I've had very little time to devote to the maintenance of this site. However I will try to make it a point to update the RPG List within the next month. Bear in mind that I personally review every game on that list, this means creating an account and actually playing the game to get a feel for it.
We are most definitely on the brink of 2nd Generation PBBG gaming and I'm excited to see which games will succeed (in development and popularity).

So, Cartoon Network's mmo is currently in Beta stage, and I can vouch that it is browser-based. However, it does require a plug-in. Anyways, I recommend putting it on the watch list, especially considering the NDA prevents me from saying ANYTHING about it, I think.

i found a beta game called shadowtales.com its at its early stages but it shows promise, although i must say even at this early stage it is obvious the game is really planning to be targeted to paying members mainly… its worth a visit

RPG and STRATEGY 100% flash pushes the limits like you have never seen, Dev's on all the time and implement player suggestions rapidly, you must check this game.

The only advantage to paying is buying in-game money.

Perenthia is a persistent browser based game set in a fantasy world. Players can choose from a variety of professions, participate in quests and interact with other players from displaying special items, chatting, to mass spells and abilities. The game is still under development and an early beta 1/prototype has been released. The beta 2 release which will contain the features for the final release is scheduled for first quarter of 2008.

http://www.thecontinuum.com/ looks like a strat, and might be a better bet for that section (which is still pretty much unmanaged *sigh*).
http://www.armoredlegion.com/ offered far too many security concerns for my comfort. Sure it's 3D, but it seems that there is really very little interaction with other players in-game. The idea behind a PBBG is that like an MMORPG, the "massive" part is a huge consideration and if there is little to no player interaction, then it might as well be a single player flash game.

Genelo is a pretty interesting game, not very much exposure though. Little to no disparity between donator and non-donator features and options.(can buy most donator items in the marketplace) Lots of new features and locations since being updated to version 5.
