Hey this is a good list but there are lots more than this. But its a good start just keep going.
Thanks for the compliment No Man. :-)
One major thing i like about Whanes list is that there are unbiased reviews for a decent amount of the games!
Keep up the good work!

Excellent content. But be sure to look around for more. I know of one, Sryth.com. Excellent depth, text, no graphics, free although you can pay for more features.
Cheers
Hi Anonymous,
Sorry for the delayed response. I've looked at Syrth and as far as I can tell, it is a single player game. Though it is true that a persistent browser game could be single player or massive player, the focus of this site is on massive player PBBG's and for the most part, it is assumed that by definition of the fact that PBBG's are web-based, that they are also massive. If I'm wrong and Syrth includes multi-player interaction then let me know and I'll tag it for a second review.
A good game I've found is Magical Myth (www.magical-myth.net). ^_^ You might wanna check it out. It's a medieval-era text based game, with a bunch of NPC's to fight, PvP abilities, a good selection of weapons and armor, and best of all, friendly moderators and admin. It's constantly being changed for the better, with new stuff added, such as classes and curses, such as werewolves. *grins* Oh, and to top it all off, it's completely free.
Is there an information page for this game? I looked at the site but couldn't even find sparse information about the game. As a general rule of thumb, I don't preview games for possible ranking on this list if the game site does not have basic page elements necessary for the review, this includes an "about" page or something like that as well as an agreed upon TOS and official privacy statement. My stance is that the game is not yet finished and therefore it is not fair to preview the game.
If developers want others to sign up to play their game, then they should be willing to provide information about the game prior to signing up. In this case, there is no posted information about the game, no official privacy statement, and no terms of service declared. Therefore this means 1) I have no idea what I'm signing up for. 2) Anything can be done with the e-mail address I use to sign up with. and 3) Without terms, the staff can delete my account at will. So needless to say, under those terms, a game like this will not make it to the list of gold, silver, or bronze PBBG's.
I'd like to suggest the game Androhil for this list. The map isn't walkable in real time (turns are run weekly) but I think it lives up to the rest of your standards. However, I am the moderator, and so I'm biased — but if you think some major elements should be added, I'd be glad to consider any suggestions.
Hello, great new site. I would like to recommend Lands of Hope - http://www.forlornonline.com as a Persistent browser based RPG. It has a ton of content, and players can interact in many ways including dueling/optional pvp/trading etc …
Hi
Not read through all contributions to see if this has been raised but… Runescape is not a PBBG - you do have to
download something onto your PC to play it. Still woth a look though as it's not a huge download
Enjoy
Wurmonline requires you to do download a client to play the game. It's not based, at all, in a browser (great game by the way).
Hi,
Dragon Tavern (www.dragontavern.com) is a PBBG RPG that started up a couple weeks ago. :)
Thanks,
- Thomas.
Faery Tale Online is a RPG PBBG that is currently in production and will be complete by the end of 2008. Visit www.faerytaleonline.com for development updates.
