Androhil

Intermediate RPG

rating: 0+x

Brief

Androhil is a PBRPG, much like a turn-based version of the familiar tabletop role-playing games. In it, you take the role of human, elven, dwarven, or halfling adventurers in a unique fantasy world. You and your friends face wildlife, monsters, evil wizards and creatures, spells, and unique encounters. The game is constantly growing, with new players, lands, dungeons, and monsters being added weekly. Turns are processed once per week, and there is an active community on Yahoo Groups.

History

Launched in 2004 (ish), the original developer passed it on to its current operator (Bob), who continues to add new content.

System architecture

Primarily HTML, with turns being run offline on a Windows system. Hand-coded in Delphi, with PHP for some specialized features. Order processing is via a dedicated GMail account.

Demographics

Roughly 60 active players, but it's reported that several hundred can be supported.

Staff

(I am staff, so I can't comment on the quality of staff other than to say we try to be honest, clear, and to correct mistakes as quickly as possible.)
